The SoWal Firefighters are the very professionals who provide the following services to the community of South Walton, Florida: Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Care/Transport, Technical Rescue, Emergency Dispatch Services, and many other services, including support for public relations events, non-emergency assistance, and public safety education. We are the men & women who respond to, and mitigate your emergencies. However, our involvement in the community of South Walton doesn't stop when we're off-duty. On our off-duty time, we participate in various charity fundraisers/events, like "Fill the Boot" to help Jerry's Kids fight Muscular Dystrophy, Northwest Florida Burn Camp, Sharing & Caring Holiday Angel Tree, Cancer Society Relay for Life, Horizons helping individuals with developmental disabilities, and many more. In addition to donating our time and money to these charities, we also interact with our community to raise money for our charity fund by hosting charity fundraisers like Golf Tournaments, Poker Tournaments, Car Washes, T-Shirt Sales, Garage Sales, Haunted Woods, and many more. We are currently in the process of establishing our own non-profit, charity, named South Walton Firefighters Foundation, which will help us further, to provide sustained charity support to our community. Each an every one of us have a desire to help our citizens in their time of need, and we are happy help South Walton citizens off-duty with the same passion as on-duty, from fixing a lady's roof to rescuing/saving a tired swimmer. We are proud of what we do, and the community we serve.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of our community for all the love and support shown to us, and would like to interact with you on this site. So many times, due to the nature of our job, we encounter the members of our community on one of their worst days. We would like the opportunity to interact with our community in "non-emergency" mode. We have added a SoWal Firefighters Community Calendar to help our interaction with our community, as well as other useful features.
